Finally picked up Fight Forever. Holy poo poo, game feels awesome after playing a couple matches on normal to learn the controls. Going to get back home later and go into story mode with "Sex Pervert" Rhod Johnson. Hands in pockets OC is just matvelous

Making it basically mandatory to run CAWs through RTE and basically making it mandatory to do it on the hardest difficulty so they can actually have viable stats and skills is causing me ENDLESS frustration with this game. I just want to make my guys and play them.

Yeah, half the reason I put the game down was my game-breaking RTE bug, but the other half is what I really want to do is have fun making people to fill out the roster even with the ultra-limited appearance options. It's such a baffling design choice not to let you.

All my friends and I used to do was make CAW with ridiculous gimmicks and then give them their own belts to defend and trade them off in ridiculous storylines and grudge matches. Not being able to do that due to limited CAW options and having to run each wrestler through story mode to make them usable entirely puts any of us off getting it.

I've seen people say FF feels more like a mix between No Mercy and Here Comes the Pain and having CAWs be completely useless unless you run them through season mode was also a thing in HCTP. Fresh CAWs were so bad that the most consistent way to get through HTCP's season mode with them was setting up a table in the corner and basically tricking the CPU into slamming you through it and winning via DQ. If anything it's fascinating how much both companies games fit their style. WWE's games are basically all about the presentation while the stuff in the ring is boring as sin, while AEW's game is really fun in-ring while the outside-the-ring stuff has a lot of just bafflingly weird decisions that'll probably hold it back from being a viable competitor.

I just tried this and did it in one go by picking Kenny and just clowning one of my CAWs that hasn’t done RTE yet. More thumbtacks is definitely better.

Just lost to loving Jungle Boy because I tried going out of the ring twice to avoid his special, but it wouldn’t let me get off of the apron at all. Then Jericho and MJF approached me backstage to join the Inner Circle, to which I declined. Then they told me it wasn’t a question and now I’m MJF’s trainee.

Started the career mode with Miro, won the opening Casino Royale but something cool I never noticed was, when it came down to me & Lance Archer, big beefy boys can no sell strikes. It looks great.

I've found that this is the easiest way to win though. Key in on one person and let the other two fight it out. Hit your signature on the person you're fighting, hit your finisher on whoever is winning between the other two and toss them out and pin whoever is left. That's pretty much the only way I've been able to get a pin without it being broken up, aside from one women's match where Britt kept trying to hit me to break up the pin but it had no effect for some reason.
