love that chicken at popeys which is actually 50% breading, for example. literally had a 3 piece with a breast that I saved for last and this thing was the size of my hand but not even half of it was chicken. owned me so hard I made fried chicken the next day just to get what I was supposed to get the day before

Same, but I leave it every day bc staffing changes.

Oh, and that's keeping the same sheets bc I wash my sheets at home a lot less than every day. I'm really glad it's become p. standard to not have housekeeping change the beds every day.

Do those donations actually make it to where they are supposed to? I just assumed that all that donation money goes to Big Man Kroger’s Ice Cream Fund.

Amen.
The only time to buy organic is if it's cheaper than the regular store brand poo poo. Like, Kroger's organic ketchup is half the price of their regular version. Other than that, yeah, it's a wild scam.

Have you considered that if you try to make sense out of US economic reports you very shortly start speaking in tongues and before you know it you abolish your dual currency system and socialism collapses? Many such cases

The grocery store donates the money and then claims the money as a charitable donation on their taxes. or they just keep the money.

They definitely donate the money so they can claim donations on taxes and put a huge billboard at the front of the store to show people how “they are part of the community too.”

quote:

Right now, the majority of the world’s economy agrees that the so-called weaponization of the dollar is primarily being done for good, and this will likely stay this way. Ultimately the US can only use its economic weapon so much because the weapon is granted to it by the rest of the world. Someone’s always going to have it, and so the rare case that could force it to change hands is if there’s overwhelming international consensus that the US is using it improperly—that the US is meddling in global affairs thanks to dollar centrality. What’s sure is that in today’s tense geopolitical environment, those calls are growing louder, but they’re from a minority of nations, and the majority agrees that American action is merely a reflection of international consensus.

anyhow de-dollarizaiton isn't going to be something that switches over night with the press of a button. the usage of yuan and other currencies will rise against the dollar for several decades, barring an sudden american collapse, until it reaches a tipping point

I doubt this is new or surprising information, but when I worked at Walmart the lady who ran all thr charity stuff was getting ready to retire, so I was trying to step in to replace her. I got a packet that had all the guidelines and rules and they were all things like "Customers must only be asked for money as they are leaving the store so they don't give away any money they might have spent here" and "Specific events run for charity have to be designed to bring customers in first and foremost"
