I'm still waiting for my employer to send the pre-fill income report thing to mytax but I've calculated my WFH deduction and entered all my charity donations and offsets. Even with all that reducing my taxable income down by about $10K it estimates that I'll only get about 2 grand back which is hosed.

Barely broke even with the tax man and only because I chucked some extra cash into my super that I could claim back. Mostly because I'm temporarily a filthy landlord renting my apartment out while overseas and it's substantially positively geared. Related, it's insane that there's so many ways to save on tax that only become available when you're not living paycheck to paycheck. I was able to use the "save for a home deposit by putting extra into super" thing a few years back, but only because I had started making enough where I could afford to part with a few grand each year. See also: negative gearing, family trusts, franking credits

I just finished my final practicum and passed my QTPA. I was so stressed I was going to fail it as I don't have another prac in me. Also I have my bicycle locked up out the front door and someone stole the rubber straps that I attach my lights to. Who would do that? Probably some crackhead running on whims.

I do have an OLED switch here but I also have an older switch that's modded. I was just curious about what the process was for installing the modchip. I'll probably keep the OLED one in good standing with Nintendo for the moment. If you are interested, I just botched a Saturn 50/60hz switching chip mod install this weekend and now the Saturn doesn't start up, Maybe you could have a look at that if you're looking for entertainment.
