Dan won china and monaco in 2018 and retired in more than 1/3 of the races max won Austria and Mexico and retired in 3 races other results are about even I would say

Yeah particularly in the second half of that year Dan got stuck in a cycle of qualifying well, being up front, car explodes. Next race something now needs replacing, whoops already used the maximum of those, start at the back of the grid, maybe get hit by some clueless backmarker. Next race, repeat cycle.

If happiness is the concern I would advise that spending 24 weeks of the year flying around and staying in hotels only to be escorted off to PR duties and the track is not a great structure for that regardless of the team involved. If you're in F1 you want to win, and if you want to win you want that red bull seat. Albon didn't take that chance when offered and the last time he had that chance he loving folded under the pressure, no other decent team is going to look at him because of that. hth.

If you go to rbr, you must drive Max's car. Which probably means you must drive it Max's way if you want to stay competitive. Anything below second place is a miss. If you stay at Williams they will bend over backward to build your own customized rig that best fits your strengths. Any points at all are greatly celebrated and there's some actual exciting competition among the lower teams.
