Most of the fossil fuel plants I've worked on caught fire at some point. They're just better at covering it up. Granted, only one burned down completely.

Those are spools of long, thin, narrow sheets of steel probably for ducting or whatever; they'll send it from the foundry over to some kind of steelworks to get stamped into the whatever thing.

Well somebody had already posted that it's not in the US and it's not anything to do with the wind turbines but hey, at least you got to post mad about a hypothetical person for something they could have said if the context of the video was completely different.

I mean if that was in the states they wouldnt be able to test it because some dipshit congressmen would be trying to pass legislation that mandates rockets have to have a confederate battle flag on them or else its legsal to shoot at them with an ar-15, in order to appeal to the 17 rednecks in his district who are insane conspiracy gun nuts who shoot at anything in the sky.

I think I’m the swinging hunk of metal on a chain being used to hammer parts together. There’s so many great things: the gaskets being made with a blunt bolt hammered through them, the industrial paint daubed on non-prepared surfaces, the squint welding.

I really don’t know what I am or what it is, first one looked like a gearbox but the size makes me think ship, do ships have gears? Maybe running gear for a ship but could be anything I guess. It’s impressive.

Gotta agree with that video title it really is like looking back 100 years into the past both in terms of equipment and working conditions. That machine they start using at 22mins with the table that moves back and forth is called a planer, it could have been built before ww1 started.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Thing is at these sizes all that loss of tolerance probably doesnt matter since the loads will be so large (and the hardening so inexact) that things will just wear fit into each other.

Also its probably an industrial gearbox, the generally square profile of the case is a tell since packaging isnt a major priority.
