it's the generic symbol for ok which a bunch of alt-right types decided to attempt to deliberately ruin for everyone else a few years back. their explicit, stated goal was to get people to associate a very common gesture with them.

i'm pretty sure they got bored with it within a couple of months since i can't remember the last time i saw it used by one of those nutjobs and yet it seems that they were extremely successful in ruining it anyway.

This poo poo absolutely drives me crazy, especially the weather one. I've seen the exact same meme, picture, font, wording, with the only difference being the state name, posted by people in various regions within the same week, usually in the springtime when weather in much of the US can be widely variable within the same week. I don't know why it makes me so irrationally angry, but it's apparently triggering enough to rant about it to strangers on the internet. Or maybe it's because my mother in law in the one posting about it in her region and she just makes me irrationally angry anyway. That's not true, most of my anger towards her is completely rational and justified.
