Within the show, GH is roughly over a year older than Gracie. I think a good new dynamic for the revival would be Hank and Peggy raising teenage GH and Gracie. KoTH got a lot of mileage out of boomer raising his millennial son. There’s a lot of potential in boomer raising his zoomer brother.

Have Luanne and Lucky tour the country with the Manger Babies and leave Gracie with the Hills. She inherits traits from both her parents so you can have her be ditzy like her mom and endearingly redneck like her dad.

Not sure how they'll handle them nor the best or most tasteful way to do it but I'm leaning towards having them die off screen, probably during one of Lucky's slip and fall schemes, then have Hank and Peggy raising their kid. I don't like the idea of recasting them nor doing the thing where they returned to their home planet and live in Florida now. The show has handled death pretty well before and having them passed away oddly seems like the most respectful thing to do to my eyes. The more I think about this reboot, the more I like the idea; especially aging up the characters. They're all so well written and established that setting this thing 15 or 20 years later and in a modern context really opens up so many different ways to go with it. You've got some blank slates to work with too in GH and Gracie which should keep it fresh. I'm imagining things like Boomhauer married and with a kid, both of whom are incredibly articulate and with a vast vocabulary. Connie doing stuff like non profit or social work that disappoints her dad because she doesn't make a lot of money. Buck Strickland is probably dead or retired at a minimum so Hank is the defacto store manager and CEO now, dealing with Amazon and companies that put small business out and adamantly opposed to work from home. Peggy's too old to teach anymore maybe and has a side gig in the lucrative feet pix market and has an OnlyFans account. Bobby does open mic nights and still dreams of being a comedian but is crushing it at Sugarfoots with the secret Dautrive sauce. Bobby's classmates like Dooly is doing...something. Has a band or whatever. Looking forward to it. I love Mike Judge's work.
