Exploration is ill-advised.
Even just having a President who identities problems and tries to deal with them, and is willing to hear out people with new ideas and actually act on them rather than just sit on the big chair slowly crumbling and giving money to his rich friends seems an improvement

when I think of people doing acting like NPC videos I think of people doing impressions of like elder scrolls NPC interactions and glitches, not whatever this is. like I get that the repetitive stuff she's doing is supposed to be evocative of how NPCs have a limited set of voice lines and animations but I have never seen a game where NPCs are anything like any of these videos. and a weird number of them have some variant on "ice cream yum" like is there a specific game where that gets said that they're all referencing? :psyduck:

edit: okay they're like a companion NPC in a game and people pretend they're the players and pay to send chat stickers and they react like they were given an item by the player and ice cream comes up so much because it's one of the sticker options?

guess I can respect getting paid but I have a hard time imagining what the people who spend money on this are like in real life. like anyone you run into on the street could be one of them. horrifying

I feel like there's plenty of examples where there's a quick fire response to actions. Given my avatar, I can think of the librarian in SOTN going "hehe, thank you!" each time you buy something that can be quickly repeated ad nauseam.

I guess what threw me off is that when something like this happens in a game it's usually the same thing over and over again not manic switching between several different things in rapid succession

but I guess just doing the same canned thanks response isn't quite enough to get there for the people who are into this stuff

yes but those professions aren't someone being weird on the internet so it's different

Wrong studio. I'm riffing on this abomination
and that movie/TV studios have grabbed copyright on people's names in the past out from under them and caused a bunch of legal grief.

It's not likely that any background extra is going to discover that they're owned by the studio for a one-time payment of $25 but lmao if you don't think they'd try.

Incidentally a goon just did this to their child

quote:

My kids do background work, and have worked on some awesome stuff including Star Wars projects including the upcoming Skeleton Crew show. I am a nerd, I am stoked my kids are in the Star Wars universe, but part of that work included being digitally scanned. Now, my kids are a part of the universe and could be used forever and ever. When we worked on the big Volume stage for The Mandalorian, the digital background was filled with either completely AI figures or other background actors who had been previously scanned. We have no control over their scanned images, we have no idea what will be done with them, and there is nothing we can do about it. It was a cool concept at first, who wouldn't want to be a part of that world?! But it makes me sick to think I signed over my kids' likenesses without any safety net. I am so grateful the union is taking this stuff seriously, my kids have been scanned on multiple jobs and I wish I had the foresight to question what would happen to their images.
