Just lmao if you're heating water in a 1200w kettle and pouring it over beans in a paper filter and thinking you're getting a good experience. You're just re-enacting something you saw someone do on YouTube with very little understanding why and have adapted your lifestyle to suit. At this point you might as well start huffing PRIME as you're about on the same intellectual level.

Based on your opinions on F1 and drivers I take this to me I am doing it correctly and also defeating 2nd racism at the same time!

I compile my own linux kernels. I prefer the more hands-on, artisanal experience.

1200 Watt? That's a real GP2 kettle right there.

Assuming the previous poster is in North America, then 1200W is about as much as you can safely get out of a kettle with our awful 110V outlets with a 15A breaker. 1200W is pulling 10A from the breaker, so if you have the kettle going and the grinder at the same time, on the same circuit (which is likely) then you're getting real close to 15A total.

Their coffee is fine and they have some nice snacks to go with it! The seasonal drinks are quirky and fun. Staff is nice and they write your name on the cup which is a nice personal touch and makes you feel at home :))))))

I don't understand this thread on somethingawful.com why are you derailing on coffee? I've been away and catching up and half the thread is banging on about pans now? I'm certain there is a specialised niche somewhere here where you can learn about making coffee to the finest detail, and another thread where some guy works in a pan factory.

Anyway, I wanted to add this laptime comparison of the Silverstone qually which I don't think I saw here

https://twitter.com/Formuladdict/status/1677809375895863297?s=20

You can really see the difference was made in the exit of Copse and particularly the exit of Becketts onto the straight, not so much the last sector as crofty might have had you believe. Lando more or less matched Max apart from those two spots.

Khablam, and all Max fans, don’t understand art or craft.

He forces his water through the beans like Max forces the innocent other drivers off the track; never thinking if there is a better way, because this is the only way he knows.

Cheap and processed caffeine, sounds like a certain drink company.

Max himself of course prefers petrol station drip over anything one could brew at a loving home.

Do you not know what espresso is or what?
There's 10x the "craft" in making good espresso with good results being very good, and poor results being very poor. This is why you get it from someone who owns the calibrated £10k machine instead of making it yourself with some Gaggia piece of poo poo you pay hundreds for to drink bilge and think you're very la-de-da.
That's why someone like James Hoffman - who has a better palette than anyone ITT - can guess the temperature and pressure deficiencies with the espresso device from taste, before looking at any measurements. Meanwhile he'll admit, as will anyone with any sense, that basically every pour over method from V60 to Mr. Coffee is producing an incredibly similar end product.

The irony of people besmirching drip coffee when they're just making drip coffee, with extra pretence, is amusing.
