I just had a funny thought: imagine for a moment if instead of overpaying for twitter and then changing everything about it that made it successful to turn it into his dream "x app" he just went and tried to make x a thing from the start. can you imagine how few people would use "x" as a social media site if that was the case? how humiliating that would be if all he had was his little cadre of sycophants?
