Cabela's was cool, but the one near me removed the giant taxidermy display, aquarium, food court, and archery range.

You'd think if superior alien intelligences came along to build pre-planned pyramids they wouldn't also create several failed attempts at pyramids that remain to the current day, or the various transitional not quite a pyramid monuments that were a part of figuring out the design. Any alien assistance was either by very incompetent aliens who had to try with the step bent pyramids first before they could get it right, or the aliens were just swooping in at the end and correcting the math of structural support for the humans who made the earlier transitional pyramids on their own. Which would be mighty nice of the aliens, but "taught them the very last math bits" seems a much lesser claim than "built the pyramids".

I don't think it was until the British and Germans that people started just wholesale Carmen Sandiego-ing monuments

I'm not confident they'll stay up long enough. It's ok though. The walk was nice and it felt like one one of those classic NYC adventures you hear about. I evaded some cops at one point, it was cool.

Someone mentioned Randaconda in passing in SAD. Went back through their rap sheet, and...lol. Multiple entries for "don't make rape jokes," "stop making it look like cartoon kids are loving," etc. Said poster mentioned they were in prison. How did they get outed as an actual pedophile?

edit: by "actual," I mean legally or whatever. Obviously that person was a loving creep.

i'm not sure. iirc, and that's a bit of an if, i think some posters knew him irl and they were digging into why he stopped posting, thinking it was something medical or something else. then they noticed he had gotten arrested and did some more digging and ... whelp, there it was in the court docs.

maybe pentyne can confirm?
