I parked my car on the street one night after like a year of it being mostly unused in the driveway in 2021 and some richdad drunk dude totaled it, tried to drive away, tapped another car, then abandoned their escalade or w/e behemoth on foot. Next day was getting some crap out before the insurance company came to town it and the dudes dad handed me an insurance card and of course the cops did nothing since escaping on foot but ending up in the hospital drunk shortly after isn't enough to solve the mystery I guess. The amount insurance gave for the car was garbage even after dragging it out as long and high as I could but even trying to get the same old car and year is more expensive than it ever was.

I've softened my stance on shenmue. Yes it's tedious by design and disrespectful of the player's time, and okay sure nearly every detail and piece of dialogue is superfluous, and yeah the plot and characters never become interesting, but hey at least it's unique
