He was on that Rock competition show like 20 years ago and he sounded the same then and they made jokes about it during it I remember, so it's probably not outright theft; but he's definitely leaning into what got the Rock to be the ultimate guy.

wrestling characters should be eternal, like batman or spiderman. just let new dudes be undertaker and hulk hogan and the hitman or whatever. who cares. if you did it with care and not trying to gently caress the workers like with fake razor ramon, it could work. they already do it anyway with gimmicks a la ric flair and the nature boy thing

I sorta get his preoccupation with the branding of X for a platform that can Do Everything, it's difficult to explain but I can see how you would like at X and think it fits as a name for something that's supposed to be very ubiquitous and versatile. But it is very funny how he just shoves his hands over his ears and tries to bulldoze past the fact that in current popular culture, the two things X are most associated with are porn and closing something, often something you didn't want open in the first place.
