Oh, its me again. I guess I will end my other streak of no one playing D by taking Noah Dobson, a guy I honestly never heard of. Probably because he plays for the Islanders. But he is young and putting up 50 points so it cant be all bad.

The NY Rangers select Jared McCann and Kris Letang. McCann probably won't hit 40 again, but I think 30 is is floor in a healthy season. And Letang still has it. Is always in tremendous shape and a great cap hit for the last of his career.

Didn't realize I was up again so soon. I like the McCann pick. No, he won't hit 40 most likely, but he's a solid 30-goal scorer.

It's between two players for me and I am pretty sure whichever one I pick, the other won't be available next time around, so it's a tough call. But I would like some young talent and I will take the player who's left with maybe the highest upside.

The Hartford Whalers select Logan Cooley. I'll probably start him out at wing, and depending on how the rest of my top nine shakes out, he can be on either the second or third line. He just signed his ELC. I consider him the best forward prospect available now that Bedard and Fantilli are gone (but to be clear, I am taking him as a lineup regular and not a prospect).

Laine is perfectly reasonable at this stage. It's hard to figure anything with how stacked the teams are, but surely he'd be good with Hintz or Sid.

He's good. Not gonna give you much offense but he's a very smart player and strong on pucks. I don't think the analytics are far off with him. And if it makes you feel more comfortable, he was an analytical darling I believe even before this past year. He just took an extra step this past year and became even better.

I think I need some jam in my forward corps. I'm taking Andrew Mangiapane. I think he has an unlucky season as all Flames did, and he will be good for 30 goal production while driving 5 on 5 play and playing a real hard game. Love him and he's got a nice cap hit for the next 2 years.
