The same reason it needs pre chilled is also a reason to prefer it. Higher sugar and less fat in condensed milk than cream. I'd expect the less fat per amount of water also helps it turn to more of a gel than a thick cream before you start trying to fix it by adding sugar. Consider the modern versions unanimously use Cool Whip. Cream and jello turn into more of a mousse that wouldn't be recognized as a set mock "pie" filling.

Clearly lies. Ovaltine has a deserved reputation for being less soluble then other coca products. Still delicious and I am assimilating a cup right now. That source of dietary hemoglobin is implied to be cows, I suppose. But it is never actually stated in a legally binding way.

Air crews received Scho-Ka-Kola in their rations, which is chocolate enriched with caffeine that was informally known as pilots' chocolate. I don't think it ever had any other notable stimulants in it. Tank crews, though, received Pervitin which is straight up meth and was informally variously known as tank chocolate or pilots' marzipan, so it's easy to conflate the informal terms.
