Heck the world's capital of semiconductors, Taiwan, is on an island that routinely gets savages by earthquakes and typhoons.

Y'all are the ones disconnected from reality. I bought a new construction 2400sqft house with a 2 car garage on a quarter acre for $160k in Houston less than a decade ago.
