Eberron and Dark Sun are part of the good D&D settings because the former has no good-aligned archmages that I'm aware of (meaning that the ones that do exist are assholes you're meant to beat up) and the latter posits that All Wizards Are Bastards who turned a green world into a living hell.

The First Law setting is cool because its main premise is "what if the big powerful legendary wizard was actually a huge piece of poo poo, literally equivalent to the Dark Lord in every way, and the only reason they're in conflict at all is over some petty bullshit from when they were teenagers 6000 years ago"

Turns out western RPGs are about killing god too, it's just that god is a metaphor for the human condition in the western philosophical tradition.

Whereas eastern RPGs are not a metaphor. There is an all powerful being up in the sky, mutated through ancient magick and/or false worship. They are literally the source of all suffering and you should kill it to have a happy ending. Simple as.

the best leader in eberron is an evil vampire lord who runs one of one of the big countries cause his opinion on risking the world blowing up or his people en masse mistreated is “are you crazy? no. we have a good thing going on here as is”

two of the good aligned major country leaders are a girlboss actively trying to start ww3 and a anarchist bro who has zero interest in doing anything, including actually doing any of the anarchist things he says he believes

at level 7, fooling around with multiclass poo poo in bg3 which seems like a lot of ways to make really terrible characters

i made the rogue elf a rogue/monk and since i found gloves that makes his dex 18 i just made that his dump stat so his statline is nice for being what it is

i hope theres nothing in dnd that specifically steals gloves.

im sure theres other fun combos but that was the most obvious one i thought of

has anyone tried respeccing Wyll as a fighter? I’m not that far in but I loving hate La’Zael and need a fighter, thinking about making her stay home forever and shut up with the Gith platitudes but I need a fighter

I don't see anything that would stop you from respeccing anyone as anything. You can change their class and redistribute their attributes so go for it. I guess you can't change their race but that's fairly minor.

e: I turned La’Zael into a Monk cause I thought it would be fun to have Githyanki longsword/greatsword proficiency on a class that usually doesn't have that, for example.

SH3 had annoying crew management mechanics unless you installed the Grey Wolves mod. At least SH4 automated crew shifts out of the box.

SH4's problem, on the other hand, is that even though it has a Monsun Gruppe expansion pack, that only supports Type IX boats, so you still need to look for mods to get the full Type VII (and Atlantic) experience.

I also saw SH2 and thought submarines :spergin::hf::spergin:

everyone can be everything

everyone can have STR 17 CON 16 DEX 10 (but don't tell aynone you levelled that up), you can run Heavy Armor Wyll and give him the extra heavy armor feat and wield a zweihander, it's all good

It's good, just the DND systems makes it a bit worse than dos 1 and 2.
