Parents wanted to talk to me about a "$1000 per year homeless tax" again. They got mad when I said it was crap and they should stop paying attention to right wing news sources. Changed the topic and spent the time I had with them talking about something else.

I think the reason you get so few people accepting the legitmate causes of homelessness is because it requires people accept that capitalism isn't working and is oppressive to millions of Americans and billions of people around the world. It is the same reason people beleive that the fires in Hawaii were a flase flag attack, to accept the truth would require a perspective change most Americans aren't willing to make. Instead we will keep repeating the cycles of destruction until we collapse from the damage caused to ourselves. This is why I think it is important to create networks of people who are willing to accept the truth and prepare to mobilize for when the cracks turn to fissures.

No camp sites within the shaded area and afaik none have ever been. The whole thing is very curious because people do park RVs around the corner on the cross street with high frequency but that is not in the bubble but also they come through and stick green slips on those RVs on a weekly basis There’s no real rhyme or reason as far as I can tell Edit: actually, spot checking around my neighborhood and it appears the smaller bubbles tend to be preschools/daycares/churches HashtagGirlboss has issued a correction as of 23:46 on Aug 29, 2023 |
