Not always and in any case just mixing some raisins into molten chocolate and then flattening the mixture on a baking sheet is dead easy.

My problem with raisins is that they just have a terrible texture and everything that traditionally has them is better without them, though the fact that they so easily camouflage as chocolate chips in cookies didn't help as a child. I am also a general dried fruit hater, however.

my buddy whos allergic to peanuts and grapes just brought a pack of smarties chocolate candy (a uk thing - dunno where he got it from, we live in the sf bay area, california) to hikes every time. like, a pound bag

my grandma put raisins in the cinnamon buns she made but her cinnamon buns also kind of sucked poo poo the reason i think i personally hate raisins is because when i was a dumb little kid i picked up a live fly and put it in my mouth because i thought it was a raisin but it wasn't

Raisins are very dependent on what they’re being used for. Craisins/dried cranberries - now you’re cooking. I’ll gently caress up craisins plain. I love that Ettore Boiardi’s name was ketchup and egg noodled to Boy-Ar-Dee. How goddamn hard was that name to explain in the 20s where he necessitated that
