There's a real visceral horror to someone preying on the vulnerable, people who are in their care and meant to trust them. I would make a hack "but enough about the Tories" joke but it is so horrible to think about these babies who lived short lives that ended in distress and pain. And the parents who lost them. Anyway let's bring back hanging, it won't do any good or bring any infants back or even deter anyone driven to do the same crimes. But if they do it old-school, it's a circus to bring the kids to when the bread is scarce.

the waiting list for ADHD assessment on the NHS is measured in years now, and so naturally people go for private assessment hoping to present their script as a fait accompli. i think psychiatry U.K. are one of the less dodgy ones and have nhs contracts mind. I’ve seen some truly stupid prescribing of amphetamines by some of the less reputable ones mental health services are chronically underfunded both inpatients and community, wards are always stacked beyond capacity and surprisingly it’s proving difficult to recruit nurses to try to manage extreme self harm while getting the poo poo kicked out of them every day for crap money
