Isnt the ground absolutely caked from all the heat right now though? And your electrical grid run by a notoriously inept private company?

Its probably not worth doomsday bunkering over but having 12-24 hours of emergency supplies probably isnt the worst idea.

Unless its the whole covid thing everyone is buying all the toilet paper again in which case

These sort of heavy showers happen I'd say once a year? Not to mention we already had one tropical storm swoop by. The wind might get some people but also its only peaking about 20mph. Now if I was in baja I'd be singing another story. Basically its a big chance for east/south coasters to bond in laughing at lifelong Californians. ofc if you live in one of the dogshit designed areas there might be localized flooding because i've seen some truly lol areas that are just designed to trap water.

It’s more than a usual storm for sure and any time you’re getting weather that’s significantly outside the norm it can really mess a place up. It’s the same as how an inch of snow can shut down a city that doesn’t usually get any.

Isn't it Michael Douglas? Douglas isn't very funny.

Pretty sure he had to change it because of union rules preventing two actors from having the same name. Same reason why William H. Macy always includes his middle initial.

Timmy changed his because he thought people would make fun of him for being named Timothy Dick.

I think the funniest/saddest ones are the actors who changed their names because they thought their real last names were "too ethnic" like Martin Sheen or Natalie Portman.

Yeah, union rules about stage names. But it's funny to contrast the Douglases Michael, IMO.
