If that PS Portal was hackable and had any storage, it would be cool as GameCube/rom machine, but I’m guessing it does not. PS5 is my favorite controller which is why I’m interested in it over a steam deck.

gholdengo gets knocked down to a B- for the stupid tchotchke that's the only thing that changes color for the shiny cool great your belt buckle is a different color why does that make you rare again?? also where's all the final fantasy protagonists, they're like 90% belt

Finished playing through Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death today. Beat the game on hard, first run through, Judge Dredd rank on all missions (had to go back for a couple after I figured out how you make gang members surrender, since arresting is a big part of rank and I just wasn't doing enough of it). It's a solid enough B-tier game for 2003. Level backgrounds are very pretty, I haven't read much Judge Dredd but the Megacity One I see around me in the levels is believable. It's got that dry, satirical edge to its humour, but probably not as much as the comics would do. On the negative side, the AI is very janky. Human enemies are good enough at shooting back, but the undead enemies really suck at navigating to you if you move around a lot. There was one mission where I had to reload from checkpoint a couple of times, because an NPC I was trying to escort to safety got stuck on another NPC I'd already escorted to safety right outside the zone where they counted as safe. But I'm not sure if that's because I was playing at a higher resolution than the game expected or something. The grenade launcher feels underpowered, but that could be because I was playing on Hard so enemies were all just a bit tankier than usual. Vampires in particular felt like bullet sponges on Hard. I'm not gonna go back for the arcade mode missions cause the couple I did complete were tedious and samey. All in all, I wouldn't call it an essential game to play, even if you're a Judge Dredd fan, but it's a good enough time running through the story mode. Do it on Normal, though.
