As Prodigal and Ironhead both scrambled to get out of its line of fire, Theo engaged the lighter ‘Mech directly. A solid slug from Theo’s smoothbore autocannon crossed the distance in a flash to pulverize the enemy ‘Mech’s facial façade and shatter its transplex canopy, exposing delicate sensor suites and the cockpit itself to the open air. Despite the sudden, crippling viciousness of Theo’s attack, the pirate’s response was respectably quick. It wasted no time sending a shot from its lighter, rifled autocannon downrange; and followed up with shots from its medium lasers as well. Only one of the lasers missed; but while Theo’s Hoplite lost a little armor he still felt he’d gotten the better of that exchange. His was the toughest ‘Mech on the field, he had the armor to spare. His confident exultation was short lived, as the fourth pirate ‘Mech leapt into view. It was just barely visible between a sandstone hill and a towering outcrop of a much harder, likely igneous stone. A veteran campaigner, there were few enough BattleMechs that really gave Theo pause—but that silhouette was unmistakable. “Thunderbolt!” Theo called out a warning. A Thunderbolt probably couldn’t successfully engage the lance singlehandedly—but it wasn’t alone. Ironhead’s own return fire was accurate enough, but her Streak SRMs still stubbornly refused to find a usable lock even as her autocannon punched enough holes in the enemy ‘Mech’s armor in ways that exposed how thin it really was. A good shot from the Hoplite’s heavy autocannon or the Mongoose’s large laser would surely have punched straight through; but her Sentinel just didn’t quite have the punch. In a vacuum their ‘Mechs were probably fairly evenly matched. The Sentinel likely had the edge at longer ranges, if it could do enough damage with its ultra autocannon before the ammo bin ran dry. The other ‘Mech had the advantage in close, where its lasers would cut her to ribbons. In the tight confines of the canyon, she might be in real trouble. “Stinger’s penetrated,” Prodigal called out. That was good—at least one of the Stingers was wide open. I knew the risk I was taking, deemed it worth taking. This turn I get to kick without risk of being kicked and with a better move mod, against the side with the damaged leg. Orders sent to that effect, taking hex 0725. PTN: Last turn I was accurately listed as being at heat 1, this turn I generated 18 and sunk 20. Card still shows heat 1.

I'd go to 1119 and Alpha the Clint. It has a low move mod and a head hit from any of your weapons will take it out instantly.

Agreed with Scintilla. The terrain is our ally against the T-bolt, powerful as it is, it's slow and we can deny it good targets. If we can do that and take out the lighter stuff before it can support them, we can gang up on it.
