Kim is one of the coaches besides Coach Martinez in Valley Tech High, and was in charge of the basketball team while Martinez handled the baseball team. Kim's a decent guy, but was also the long-suffering sort who had to put up with Martinez' antics of trying to best Gil Thorp. Still, Coach Kim did help Martinez' plan for the baseball team by traveling with him to South Korea to recruit his cousin, Kwan, who was known as the ~~Demon of Baseball~~ Korean Nightmare. When Martinez benched his own son in favor of Kwan, Kim got pissed about it but still went along with it because Martinez was in charge. It was only when Martinez blew up on his own son during the game against Gil's team that Coach Kim walked off in disgust along with the rest of the team.

Kim becoming Valley Tech's new athletic director is bound to piss off Martinez, and I look forward to more ways Martinez will gently caress up his life. Hell, maybe he'll switch to swearing vengeance against Coach Kim. :allears:

Though as an American, I gotta say I can't remember anyone using it in this context where I am.

I have never heard this usage before, I thought I was having a stroke while reading Crankshaft. I usually think I'm having a stroke when I read Crankshaft
