Non mariners may be unaware that some bouys were designed to make sounds. The motion of the waves would cause the sound, a deep kind of hooting, meant to warn ships in the fog away from disaster. About 30 years ago the bouy off Dare Pt on vancouver island came unmoored and was thrown up on the beach at Clo-oose bay. And when the tide was just right, often at night time, the waves would roll into the disintegrating, rusted red thing, and it would emit the lowing of a dying beast. I just looked up Ceramics on wikipedia and it said humanity has been practicing ceramics (pottery basically) for like 25,000 years. THEY USE CERAMICS ON SPACE THINGS!! IT MUST BE SPACE AGE!! They also use fire on space things. We've known about fire for even longer.
