I think most edible glitter is just cornstarch or cellulose so it's probably water soluble and breaks down pretty well in your stomach.

Saw this add on the window of local pizza place: Pizza Beef Hawai: Texas Beef, Cherry Tomatoes, Pineapple, Coconut-BBQ-Sauce, Macadamia nuts, Dutch Gouda. It wasn't on their website and I am not entering this place, the pizzas are bad and the place mostly survives due to their advertising gimmick. Those are on their website:

But using a pizza as one is inferior to using almost any other kind of flatbread. There used to be a fashion of serving a dressed salad on normal pizza. Fine in theory, but you are very restricted in choice of dressing to make it fit. And even then then you end up with a soggy and uncomfortably cold pizza by the time you get around to eat it.

At one point someone had me convinced that all pizza in Brazil has that weird 4 quadrant and dessert center gimmick but it's just the one restaurant that does it. Apparently when people in Brazil make pizza that isn't dumb, it usually turns out great.

It seems like it couldn't possibly be the kind of thing that would catch on in a widespread way, because a big part of why pizza is a thing is how simple and straightforward it is to make. Big flat surface, scatter stuff on it. These intricate quadrant sculptures hardly seem like something any trend-chasing restaurant would do voluntarily. Then again there's the Aus/SEA weird rear end crust nodules/sauce cups all around the circumference thing which I don't understand the logistics of at all
