So here's something a little different. Recently, NGS added private islands and basic tools to edit them. After a false start with a project I didn't really make much headway on, I scrapped it and set about making a recreation of the starting city from the original 1987 Phantasy Star.

Welcome to the beautiful Camineet Residential Area. Don't mind the armed guards everywhere, they'll only beat you to death if you sniff around in the King's affairs.

An overview of the city. It's like 90% accurate, but I did end up moving a few things around and screwing with proportions. You kind of have to take liberties when translating 8 bit tiles into a more realistic artstyle. For instance, every building no longer faces south.

CS have a 10 hologram limit, which just happens to be how many NPCs were on the original map. I did my best to make custom versions of the guards and residents, complete with the original dialogue.

Make sure your Passport and Roadpass are in order (or you will be thrown in prison) and take in the high culture available in this elevated city.

I loving love the Power Ranger glam.
Fun Fact: The Metallic Brass dye matches the chest shield thing, and a lot of the Lost Allagan weapons with that dye match really well. And the Scaevan scythe is just perfect with it.

I've been working on my portraits a bit. I changed my hair, and realized I hadn't messed with the lighting at all on most portraits. So now I'm going through and having some fun with the lighting to make more dramatic shadows and stuff. Here's AST for comparison:

I like that second one. Whenever I try to be clever with portrait poses I have trouble fitting everything into frame. Though, full disclosure, I'm currently an MRoe so I think that's a lost cause in any case.
