Similarly to the rest of the jorp stuff, among life scientists in my experience the validity of trans people isn't a controversial issue, but among the ifls crowd it's all about "basic grade school biology!"

(That's just personal experience though, I'm not sure about polling of scientists)

That sounds about right. Grade school biology generally doesn't cover the multitudes of chromosome variations and how they're expressed physically or any other rare genetic differences that result in similar.
These people learned about XX and XY in Grade 9 and stopped there. What more is there to know???

A quick read told me that there's 20+ causes just for garden variety intersex conditions.

Ask those people their blood type and get mad when they don't categorize it in terms of all 42 blood groups. Hell, there's probably more than that now.

Are you insinuating that you think they're wrong about the Russian government deliberately using misinformation and huge networks of fake accounts and bots to elevate destabilizing discourse in Western countries like Canada?

Even the expert interviewed in the article agreed that most of the disinformation is coming from Russia, he just criticized that the ad makes it look like the disinformation would look obviously Russian, when it's typically coming from bots set up to look like average Canadians.

Also, I dont think the average Canadian thinks about CSIS like at all.

Or the fact that every university student has to take the same Econ 101 and 102 class that uses a textbook written by a ghoul from the Bush administration

funny enough, the content of those courses is completely discredited as having any basis in reality if you take any elective econ course at a higher level than that

but nope, the everlasting message we impart on all university students is “minimum wage and unions are bad, actually”
