turn off the TV posted:the little dudes that generate electric gas stuff. there are a few missions where they're close enough together that if you aggro them the particles overlap a bunch and cause frame rate death, and there's a room full of them and MTs in the mission where you kill Carla and Chatty. I think that if you shoot one of the mega bazookas or use assault armor in there it'd stop things from getting too bad though. huh. i've definitely had a few of them doing their poo poo in a room (and that specific mission/room) with no performance hits. the only time i had a slowdown that i remember was when the iceworm was first introduced but that only happened once out of doing that mission 4ish times. might be a driver or hardware specific thing because those guys didn't ever cause a problem

For the longest time I remembered I had played a few hours of one of the fallout games but couldn't remember which one it was and started to think I had made it up/hallucinated it until years later I realized it was fallout 4

theres a lot of people that just want to make themselves in character creators and feel left out when they cant because theyre not represented  also remember this is a super pro capital future so of course curable diseases still exist if someone was unfortunate enough to be born space-poor

the most disappointing thing in starfield is space is just a bunch of tiny instances. There is no way, as far as I know, of getting from point A to B in space without a loading screen. I was flying towards Neptune and never got closer, it’s just a backdrop. No Man’s Sky did this forever ago.

im on an always sunny rewatch right now and, while the first season is a departure from the rest of the show, it does both establish a lot of stuff and gives a greater perspective on how far off the rails they are by season 4ish

Having played other elder scrolls and fallout, even 76, and I wouldnt trust Bethesda to add fully realized space travel a la elite or nms as their first itteration. All their systems are just slowly upgraded over decades, you may see improved space travel in like a decade if starfield2 comes out
