the little dudes that generate electric gas stuff. there are a few missions where they're close enough together that if you aggro them the particles overlap a bunch and cause frame rate death, and there's a room full of them and MTs in the mission where you kill Carla and Chatty. I think that if you shoot one of the mega bazookas or use assault armor in there it'd stop things from getting too bad though.

huh. i've definitely had a few of them doing their poo poo in a room (and that specific mission/room) with no performance hits. the only time i had a slowdown that i remember was when the iceworm was first introduced but that only happened once out of doing that mission 4ish times. might be a driver or hardware specific thing because those guys didn't ever cause a problem

is fallout 4 considered a classic? i mean, i enjoyed it because i love the fallout vibe, but it's definitely got flaws, takes some steps back (dialogue choices), and doesn't add too much (some crappy loot/building minigame).

no, it was a success for Bethesda but it inevitably comes up short in comparisons with New Vegas, which is beloved and for good reason

edit: also Fallout 4 sucked at release, the DLCs helped a lot and when they added Survival difficulty it became much more fun - instead of making enemies hit sponges like regular high difficulty Fallout setting it makes them a bit more fragile and makes you a ton more fragile, additionally it adds a mechanic that rewards riskier play by giving you bonuses that accrue as long as you don't sleep, which is the only way to save progress

For the longest time I remembered I had played a few hours of one of the fallout games but couldn't remember which one it was and started to think I had made it up/hallucinated it until years later I realized it was fallout 4

they deny the autoimmune hypothesis of vitiligo

are autoimmune things actually trivially treated/cured in starfield medical lore?

fat people and people with vitiligo play the game, so they're represented in the game, i don't think you're supposed to think about it any further than that lol

There's a type of liberal who believe that having a future or fantasy setting where disabilities are scarce due to in-universe explanations (advances in medicine or having magic that can heal people) is in fact representative of wanting to do eugenics against people with disabilities in the current day and age. To portray rampant obesity or vitiligo (a disease that can adversely affect one's hearing and sight due to it killing off melanocytes in those organs) as things of the past isn't an optimistic view of the future for this kind of person, it is a future where an entire identity has been wiped out.

granted its just a stupid game so its fine if someone wants to be represented, its not evil but I have my own disagreements with this mindset as someone with my own disabilities

Also vitiligo is weirdly popular with very Tumblr artist people, I have no idea why.

theres a lot of people that just want to make themselves in character creators and feel left out when they cant because theyre not represented

also remember this is a super pro capital future so of course curable diseases still exist if someone was unfortunate enough to be born space-poor

the most disappointing thing in starfield is space is just a bunch of tiny instances. There is no way, as far as I know, of getting from point A to B in space without a loading screen. I was flying towards Neptune and never got closer, it’s just a backdrop.

No Man’s Sky did this forever ago.

im on an always sunny rewatch right now and, while the first season is a departure from the rest of the show, it does both establish a lot of stuff and gives a greater perspective on how far off the rails they are by season 4ish

Having played other elder scrolls and fallout, even 76, and I wouldnt trust Bethesda to add fully realized space travel a la elite or nms as their first itteration. All their systems are just slowly upgraded over decades, you may see improved space travel in like a decade if starfield2 comes out

yes. the character creator is very, very very detailed and the game characters are generated the same way you make your own characters.
