Maple was loved beyond measure while she was alive and died being held close and warm by her own best person. I get teary when I see her so happy, but she go to go about as well as any of us can hope for

I got to see this exhibit when it was at the Peabody Essex museum in Salem, MA. It was the neatest thing. 75 Zebra finches in a room with open tuned guitars, and basses.

Hello thread. I don't post much but have been lurking for years - this content has gotten me through some very rough and dark nights. Bourbon the cat, resident in my life for the last eleven years, sadly passed away today at noon UK time following complications from diabetes. He was 12 1/2 years old. He was the most affable, incorrigible, affectionate and charming little friend anyone could wish for, and we are heartbroken. Please give your kitties extra tickles today.

In a bit of a tizz yesterday and forgot to post a photo of Bourbon. Here he is from a few years ago in his Imperial phase, yelling at me as I politely asked him not to stand on the terrarium. Lord of his domain. No thoughts. Utterly unshooable. If there was a surface, his face needed to go on it. His rolly-rolly tummy was never a trap, always for tickles. What a cat.
