I’ve been following the tally ho rebuild, I wanted to see them at the port townsend boat show (next weekend I think) but it’s been crazy with family stuff so I think we’ll skip it It is sort of a ship of theseus thing though, I don’t think any original components are being reused it was basically a rotted out shell and I think theyre also guessing at a lot of the interior design (not to mention modernizing it) Who cares though, still very cool, I can see why so many tech bros burn out and just go work with wood

there's some things they re-used, i think the uhh transom?? the back wall of the boat is still the original one, clean up and repaired, and they used the lead from the original keel in the new one. might be some other ones i'm forgetting but yeah it's largely a complete rebuild.
