So my brother and I live alone in a C4. Last night, we saw some dudes warping into the middle of the sun in their C3. It was like a deep space inside the sun. My brother used combat probes to get a warp in, but it only bounced him off of the sun. They had several characters in hecates chilling in there. Never seen that poo poo before. I guess it's an exploit?

I guess it's an exploit? You can generate one of those spots by bookmarking a structure that later disappears (the bookmark position gets changed to 0,0 basically), as we discovered by accident once. It should be ejecting them out as well, but it may not if they fleet warped to someone who already got ejected out and stopped since fleet warp mechanics are a little different. I'm just theorizing on the last bit because we tried a few things and petitioned to verify we were not hitting an exploit of any kind but nothing seemed as usable as what you described (and I don't recall trying a fleet warp). 0km around a sun on the overview is an absurd amount of actual space, it might just be that your brother got unlucky with his warp in and they were like right on the edge of collision.

there is a big difference between "person was accused of bad thing we stopped chasing details about" and "we didn't know person did a bad thing because we didn't know and had no credible basis to expect it" there's a bit of "oops we failed to due diligence here" but whatever, y'know? like everything seemed fine to us to begin with despite elusif's personal history, and "i don't bot anymore" is a lot less sus than "i don't gently caress with CSAM anymore" trying to say the two situations are similar is completely ignoring the details to prove a point. they are only similar at the broadest possible level of "leadership made a mistake"; as soon as you zoom in beyond that they quickly lose any semblance of similarity.

Every once in a while, someone shares a screenshot to me of some poor bastard soul like Brisc Rubal responding to Goose and Delta things post-Groomswarm with "gently caress them all forever" or "gently caress them with rake." They have been seething, absolutely powerless to find a moral handhold to rise anywhere close to high enough to punch back.
