I found a YouTube channel I've been binging... I thought I should share it. It's a guy that started his own animal sanctuary from scratch and next to nothing and it's amazing what he's accomplished in 3 years. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6AKPwFYIM7zqqU8P0iDkJO1FqgsR8izq&si=TheGQ0hSLzoyigoJ There's a playlist but honestly just go to the channel and kinda see the old videos and then watch a new one and see what he's accomplished and how many animals he's rescued. Seems like a really good guy. The language is kinda memey because I think he makes more money off his tiktoks for children and these are the long forms but it's still fascinating. Watch the creature feature videos for info on how he takes care of the animals. As a personal pet, I LOVE chihuahuas. They are very affectionate cuddlers. The problem is with families. They can bond hard with one family member and everyone else can gently caress-off. That and they are STUPIDLY protective. Whether it's a mouse or a Rottweiler, it'll come at them with all the intensity of an axe murderer during a sorority slumber party. They are way more likely to be shitheads to you and everyone outside of their chosen person, and because they're small and often hypercompliant with one person they're usually really really really badly trained. Yorkies can be shits ofc too, any breed can, but they are much closer to the "chill" end of things.
