Grindr has lost nearly half their employees by forcing a return to office. It's pretty much in retaliation for the employees trying to unionize, and maybe also just a dumb way to reduce headcount and save on severances. Grindr went public as a SPAC last year and has since lost 90% of its value. At least my question was answered but I wasn’t trying to upset people in the process.

I saw a bunch of job postings for data engineers for Grindr a few months back. They were paying stupid high for the position as well. I thought about trying for it, but I then learned what a poo poo show of a company it was. They must be having a hard time keeping talent if they are paying what seemed to be 50%-75% above similar jobs in the industry.
