Very happy to report that GUTS rules. This is the type of album I'm excited to wake up tomorrow and listen to all over again. Olivia is now 2 for 2 when it comes to great albums in my mind.

I think it might top SOUR, at least to me. SOUR was good, no doubt, but it was pretty ballad heavy and had an almost laser-focused vision on the breakup (aside from brutal at the start and then jealousy jealousy -> hope ur okay at he end). Lot of break-ups here, too, but there's other topics-mixed feelings over an ex, self-examination, feeling trapped by being a success this young, Being Young loving Sucks, anxiety, etc. Also way more rockers this time. Still quite a few ballads, but a better balance.

I agree it's front-loaded and I'm not sure why "The Grudge" is such an obvious re-tread of "Drivers License". Almost seems intentional like it's illustrating how a grudge is itself re-treading old hurts, but I dunno... Definitely a lot of good stuff on there though.

Guts good. I’m glad this is the sound she’s picked, it really suits her voice and especially her delivery, which I think is the thing that makes her a really special artist. Help, I can't stop listening to GUTS And front-loaded? I don't know what y'all are talking about. Like yeah, the first half has some amazing cuts, but the back half has songs like Get Him Back! and Love Is Embarrassing and Pretty Isn't Pretty which are some of my favorites of the whole album. I think the whole thing is strong front to back
