oh I was wondering why their reaction was to immediately scream rather than being confused but it makes a lot more sense if it was the second airplane and they were already completely freaked out from the first one and drinking because of that, rather than just going about their normal life and suddenly seeing it hit

I was at work and listening to the local morning zoo radio show and the first reports were like a single prop plane hitting the tower and they were cracking up and joking for quite a while before they realized what was actually up

I think most people knew it was significant by the time in the video though. They had been watching dozens of replays of the second jumbo jet hit the second tower by then. It was almost an hour after the second plane hit that the south tower collapsed. It was just scary as poo poo to see the towers go down.
