My personal highlights of the direct: No way, Trace Memory and TTYD remakes? Princess Peach game looks neat, i'm here for the dresspheres. SaGa Emerald and Unicorn Overlord look cool.

I wish there was some kind of way for me to play the peach game with my kid, like how odyssey has the hat and Kirby had the lil friend. It's a way out though so maybe theres still some hope.

Wasn't there a puzzle in Hotel Dusk where you had to close the DS in order to "move" content from one screen to another like in Phantom Hourglass? Imagine folding your switch in half to do it this time around.

I think so, there definitely was in Anther Code though or whichever was the first game. Along with a puzzle that didn't work if you weren't using an original fat DS.

There's a puzzle in Another Code where you have to close the DS enough to reflect the bottom screen on the top screen to solve a puzzle that literally did not work on any DS model other than the original

I decided to fire up Dungeon of the Endless this weekend and played a couple of runs. Then I saw an ad in game or something, for Endless Dungeon, and saw that if I bought the 10 bucks extra version I got 2 free multiplayer keys valid for the beta only, which is from the 9th-19th, and the full game comes out on the 19th. I've got BG3, FF16, and AC5. I played each of them for like 3-4 hours and will get back to them but they didn't grab me. Endless dungeon HAS grabbed me! I got it on Sunday night and have probably played about ten hours already. I played multiplayer with my friends last night and it was pretty good overall but there were some issues that I hope get resolved on release (had to restart a run when someone disconnected, and another time the same person had some kind of control issues) but I've been playing single player mostly and it's been great. It's a twin stick shooter which is mainly about tactics as opposed to skill. I'm enjoying it a lot, it's fun.

pretty mid Direct compared to the last one, IMO, though TTYD remake/remaster is cool. ah well, my expectations weren't enormously high given that Switch 2 is on the horizon (this might even have been the last general Direct before Switch 2 is officially announced); 2024 will bring bigger things
