Everyone including Russia knows that carrier is hosed. They can fire it up and get it running when they need to. But seriously they love to project power with the Black Sea fleet. The Baltic isn't so close to the MIddle east for quick reactions. And it takes longer to get that fleet under way due to uh... issues with the quality of ships.

It is pretty far off. PH was a sneak attack outside the diplomatic and behavioural norms of most countries at the time. If your point is that Russia sees their slacksea fleet as a strategic resource that's a fairly true statement, but let's not give muskrat credit for his incredible insight. Equating an attack by Ukraine on the black sea fleet during an ongoing war to pearl harbour is dumb and disingenuous. I think we all know what muskrat means when he comes out with his bullshit.
