I think someone mentioned in this thread that they get a lot of good young engineers for space X as there just isn't that many jobs where you get to design space rockets, but the company just has massive turn over as musk is an idiot who thinks getting everyone to work crazy hours is the way you get good engineering done.

A lot of people just don't pay attention this kinda stuff, in the regular peoples world Elon is just some tech dude that makes cars and rockets and it have made him incredibly rich so he has to be good at it.

I feel conflicted about the paywall thing. Yes, it’s a bad business decision in context, and it’s fun to laugh at Musk for being an idiot. But I’d take a modern internet where consumers directly pay (small) amounts for their services rather than the garbage that is the ad-supported internet. If Musk went further and said they were introducing the paywall and getting rid of advertising, I’d actually be happy that some large tech company was trying this, even if it’d likely fail.
