Like right off the top of my head I can recall multiple times where sun glare hosed over the cowboys on a play in a game, it happens like every loving time when my eagles are there during a sunny day game. I can't loving believe the coaches/receivers haven't revolted over that poo poo (its majority receivers losing the ball in the air).

Really tells you all you know about Jerry Jones because there's zero reason not to close the curtains in those instances except for sheer arrogance. But even then, I don't know what part of his ego he's stroking because all it does is gently caress up the gameplay, often that of his own team.

Reminder that the crown at Texas Stadium was so extreme that someone laying on opposing sidelines could not see each other. There was a two foot drop from the middle of the field to the sidelines on either side. It was nuts, and I'm not sure if any field today is that high.

I never realized that an NFL field is convex until one time I was working the game and got to stand at midfield. 2 feet sounds like a lot though.

Anybody’s opinion on the Commanders changed since the offseason? Or do y’all think they’re frauds who should be 0-2?

For me, Howell is a lot better than I thought. He’s progressing each game and the mistakes he’s making are rookie mistakes that are coachable. I’m cautiously optimistic. The upcoming game against the Bills will probably be where reality sets in. But if we beat them too, then game on.

Two feet of crown is a lot. It was ridiculous.

Howell looks way more comfortable in the pocket than I would have guess with out O-line. Run defense and pressure looking nice but our secondary still loves to give up 3rd and longs.

I'm glad we're 2-0, but I think this week will paint a true picture against a good team. If we keep it close, even with a loss, I'll be fine. Just don't want to see a 35-6 blowout.

Definitely a good sign. Still doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, I’m predicting it’s ultimately goes to Virginia. They’ll probably be happy to pony up the cash now with Snyder gone.

The area around rfk is much more developed and affluent compared to the 80s and 90s. There will be DC stadium nimby, and to be clear I wouldn't blame residents for a second. The flip side is that the rfk site now serves a decrepit, condemned stadium and is a blot on NE DC. The DC government wants it. Fans want it. It would be a triumph for ownership and a massive "gently caress you" to the Danny.

Real estate in NoVA is some of the most expensive in the US, and there is basically zero chance they could locate a stadium near public transit. The idea of putting a stadium in Loudoun, Prince William or Ashburn and the resulting potential for traffic makes my blood run cold. My hope is that they don't go to the hinterlands of NoVA as it will suck for everyone.

My money is still on Landover, MD. MD is going to invest a ton of money into the Largo corredor, and the commanders already control the site. MD wants them to stay. If they can't get DC or it proves impractical, they should build next to FedEx and move into the new stadium asap.

Are they really talking about the new stadium being a dome? If so, ew. Don't besmirch the NFCE like that, Washington.

It’s because the United States Federal Government owns the site and it requires and act of Congress to pass it off to the city. Nobody was ever going to do poo poo with this because gently caress You Dan Snyder. It’s only now that poo poo is happening because Dan is gone.

Here’s all you could ever want to know about it:

I've watched barely any commander's football this year, but as a general rule, I do not trust quarterbacks whose arms are that buff

I mostly lurk this forum because football isn't my main jam but after living in DC and the mid atlantic for 10 years ago awhile back I kind of have this vague soft spot for hoping WAshington can finally put it together and just be...respectable.

Howell at least looks like a guy who can make plays and maybe get better and be a good starter if things come together, which is a huge step up from their past QBs. But yeah their Oline sucks and somehow their secondary continues to struggle at times despite all the fluff pieces about their talented DBs

The land technically falls under the control of the National Park Service, an agency not generally in the buisness of building offices. Regardless, the federal government already had too many office properties, and with remote work the vacancies are a huge problem for DC. If anything they need to sell buildings off.
