Ok, but Goff rotates so that his back is to him, has his arms in like he’s gripping the ball, and bouncing on his feet like he’s concentrating on downfield receivers. There’s not really a chance for the defender to know he’s gotten rid of it.

The weird part is like, Getsy worked with Aaron Rodgers for years -- famously a player who thrived on improvisation instead of playing in an extremely rigid offense. This seems like it happens so often, some random loser gets promoted to OC or DC and it turns out they had a BRILLIANT SCHEME they were secretly nursing all along and they try to force their players into following that scheme. And the scheme is just totally out of nowhere, you can't point at historical results, they just go "Well my players don't fit my scheme, draft me players who do then you'll REALLY see some fireworks".
