My wife found this on reddit and sent it to me and I am laughing Paul Heyman was on a podcast with Rick Rubin and they were talking about Undertaker and the streak. They both acknowledge it was the right move in having Brock end it and he becomes that final boss, but Rick asked Paul if there was talk of anyone else ending the streak and inheriting the prestige that comes with it. Apparently there was consideration of it being CM Punk. Summarizing what Paul said is that it would have been the right move at the time, and Mark(Undertaker) and Vince was open to the idea for CM Punk the character to end the streak but not open to the idea for Phillip Brooks the man to have that accolade
