No gameplay  Did a depression 10 pull on weapons banner and got the actually useful fontaine weapon (for Nilou, yay). Can also confirm that you don't actually need to have be damaged and have HP recover to count as "healing" or "being healed," which is consistent with how these effects usually work. But it's nice to know. Besides Nillou these also do feel like they'd be pretty nice for comfort if you've got a solo sustain hyperbloom Shinobu (or Dori I guess...) as a secondary damage source, with an Alhaitham/Neuvillette driver or something. Endorph posted:id put good money on the chainsaw being for navia. give her hp drain/self heal like every other fontaine character so far, give her some kind of attack that sucks up crystallize shards and uses them to deal damage that scales with her EM. I sure hope this is true because low base attack+HP+EM implies some extreme kit shenanigans and I'm all for it

Comparing Furina's kit to Yelan's a 12 hit <20 second duration yelan burst deals 288% damage while Furina's deals about that much over 30 seconds. BUT that's not including the 40% dps multiplier furina's skill gets when it steals HP from 4 characters so built around furina is very close in terms of raw damage to yelan, plus >half of her damage is AOE, and doesn't have normal attack activation requirements. She's obviously good but between her buffed E and getting 200 stacks on her burst asap you'll want to run Jean, Barbara, Baizhu, Noelle, Yaoyao, or Kokomi in all of her comps. Makes me want to skip Wriothesley though. They don't work together at all at C0 she'll steal his HP and he'll lose empowered autos way too fast unless you're running exactly Baizhu or Kokomi. Manually climbed all the way up the highest mountain in the new area and dropped a temporary waypoint and then immediately (exploration spoiler) unlocked a direct shortcut all the way up from a nearby waypoint. You know for a "dead game" as its regularly described outside this thread it sure as poo poo still seems to find its way to the top of the mobile app grossing charts in SEA every single banner update save a handful and is about the only gacha title that ever seems to be on that chart at all here in Canada/US with most updates besides Star Rail. Well okay maybe that Dokkan Battle DBZ game.

I'm honestly tempted to do the insane thing and skip Furina. I don't particularly like her character, and her gameplay while probably insanely strong looks very set and forget. In normal circumstances I'd suck it up and pull for power, but there's the possibility of four tall women in a row and I don't want to miss any of them.

I'm definitely rolling Furina. If you own Festering Desire imo you basically have to its too funny to have an amazing user after three years of waiting. It's Wriothesley I'm thinking of skipping and I havent skipped a character since 2.1. The amount of his own HP he shreds is just too high at C0 its so restrictive.

festering desire is one of the few event weapons to have multiple potential users since its release. that it works especially well with furina is not a surprise. wake me when someone besides albedo can use cinnabar spindle.

Festering has been the best weapon that nobody actually wants for three years. Layla C6 was the closest thing to a potential user. Furina is the character that truly wants it. Other event weapons like the fish claymore, umbrella, dodoco tales, fading twilight, windblume ode have had characters that fully take advantage of these weapons' passives. If you're short on fav/sac swords you at least can put the big ER% substat to work on someone who actually wants it and there are enough of sword chars in need of ER. But I really doubt anybody who has festering desire is lacking fav/sac swords.
