Like leftism, I was way late to the game getting into Chapo. I listened to a fair amount of Pod Johns content in 2017, but then August 12th happened and that belatedly put me on course to embracing leftism. I don't think I started listening to Chapo until 2018, around the time AOC was beginning to get national attention.

I've been listening to Chapo since the first year they started, I can't remember how I heard of them initially. Been a Patreon subscriber for years now and I don't see myself cancelling anytime soon, unless they become right wing grifters like Red Scare.

I've also always been a leftist voting NDP or Socialist my entire adult life here in Canada. My dad was in unions and was an occupational health and safety officer so I've been very pro labour my entire life. It's nice that there are resources for leftists to the extent that they are covered in mainstream media. When you have Chris Hayes praising Matt for his takes you know that you are making an impact on people.

I don't agree with their foreign policy takes most of the time, I support funding the war in Ukraine, but I'm fully on board all their domestic takes. Regardless, they are almost always entertaining to listen to.

I'm going to keep this post short because I don't really see anyone believing me anyway. Just figured I'd get it off my chest.

For those of you who don't know, Chapo Trap House is a "Socialist" podcast. It is the highest grossing project on Patreon by a wide margin (about $140K per month). They are also the reason I started expressing interest in the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America, the largest left wing party in the country).

They have now contacted and harassed me twice while I was tripping over V2K. The first time I was incredibly caught off guard, and in disbelief. However, you can't replicate their personalities with a deep fake for several hours at a time. They're professional comedians and replicating their style would be hard for a normal person. For reference, they play deeply cynical but caring characters on their show. They have also hosted many famous journalists, writers, activists, and comedians on the show. The money has gone to their head.

The first time they harassed me, I believed it was some sort of mistake. That they were told that I was some rapist or some nonsense. I should have expected the opposite when I heard Felix mention a "hideous conspiracy" while they tried to make me feel like a worthless person. That poo poo is hard to combat when you're near the point of ego death.

The second time I tripped, I was far more prepared. I consider myself a fan of the show and had some defenses in place in case they decided to show their face again. Lo and behold, they once again showed their faces. It's hard to explain just how grotesque these shitstains are in person.

A short list of my interactions with them second time around:

Will (the main host) spent at least like 20 minutes gloating about how much influence he had and how I'll never have what he has. I kept telling him that I don't want what he has, he kept talking over me in his Mike Cernovich impression.

All the hosts were intentionally contrarian to the points they portray on the show, despite being incredibly venomous to them in public. (poo poo like praising Ben Shapiro and Henry Kissinger)

Amber grabbed the microphone and fake flirted with me. When I rejected her talking to me, she started repeatedly saying "I'm raping you" and similar things while stimulating my genitals. I gave a disgusted a look and heard the others laughing in the background. Felix tried chiming in after, and I told him not to rape anyone. He said that he would "probably get away with it too"

Amber wouldn't comment on the Communist Party's endorsement of Hillary Clinton, despite claiming to be a Communist. She claimed commenting on that to me was "above her paygrade"

They tried deep faking a couple British comedians (I recognized David Mitchell), while claiming to be part of "the Illuminati"

They kept saying "I admire your commitment" when I called them out on lovely things.

They denied what was happening to me was torture, claiming "It's been thrown out of court before" (Specifically related to sleep deprivation)

I got Matt to listen to this video of himself breaking down at the treatment of oppressed groups. He was mostly silent for a couple minutes after, and then decided to just start interrupting me.

I got Will to say "I condemn you to die" after much prodding

At the end, I told Will that I would spit on him, if I saw him at the DSA national convention (which they cover yearly)

There's more, but I'm blanking.

My point is, these shitstains are bought by the government. They are also incredibly cruel hypocrites. If you choose to listen to their show, fact check. The lovely thing is, they weren't always this way. What a waste.
