Can you hold onto a Toddler having a tantrum, you could do it with that model. If you can hold 50lbs, you can probably do it. Let someone fire a few rounds proper, and once they are no longer scared of the giant loud thing, and then your average adult could do that. I'd be more impressed if he fired it from the shoulder off hand. The gun itself weighs (rounding numbers) about 30lbs minus ammo, which is another like 10lbs. The recoil is stout, but I've fired hunting rifles with worse recoil than a Barrett. Firing from the hip is easy, fun, and of limited effect without a lot of practice and a lot of ammo expended. It's mostly used to kill dirt, though it is still used by Machine Gunners. It is childishly gleeful to fire a belt fed machine gun from the hip. 2nd only to playing Scarface and hip firing grenade launchers for dumb fun.
