Yeah, a sack/intentional grounding basically had the same consequences that play. I'm not sure what the exact criticism is/who said it, but maybe they were thinking that Fields had the opportunity to get the ball near an eligible receiver to avoid the penalty?

Bears spent $92 million on two linebackers who have been mostly bad (especially Edmunds). Meanwhile Roquan is playing out of his mind for Baltimore and Morrow has been one of the best linebackers in football for Philly. For all the talk about how Poles was given nothing, most of the players he let go sure are kicking rear end for other teams.

I think the HITS principle fell apart when he switched the T from "Takeaways" to "The Ball." Just flippantly changing one of the cornerstone elements of an advanced formula it presumably took years to put together must have been a real scales-falling-from-the-eyes moments for the players. Can't trust a coach after that

Ive been listening to 670 AM part of the day and am unreasonably excited for Thursday's game. The John fox era I just stopped watching (just like I barely watch the Illini) but this year long train crash is fine entertainment. I didn't pay any attention to last year's Thursday night game with Washington but hoo boy am I ready for Chase Young to obliterate these tackles
