My boss emailed me today demanding me to return to working in office because "the isolation period now is only 5 days." I told her I popped a positive test just yesterday and didn't feel comfortable being around others until I get a negative. She said "just wear a mask." This is the same person who visits their elderly mother every weekend. The best part is she usually doesn't even acknowledge my existence when I am there. lol, lmao even.

Not surprised that the self-made(ish) wealthy are more intelligent than the fail-grandkids of some 19th century robber barons who've been catered to their whole lives. The landlord class always falls for their own propaganda.

I've just started testing negative (and tasting and smelling) again, I don't want to think about a possible second rebound. I don't know how much of the smell loss was congestion but on the worst day I could barely smell ground coffee and got nothing from a jar of cardamom seeds. The next day I got a faint whiff from the cardamom and now I can barely believe it had no effect a few days ago.

I went to the supermarket at about 4pm and there were a lot of parents there who'd dragged their sick kids along, I could hear them coughing all over the store. Also none of these kids covered their mouths at all when they coughed so they constantly had plumes of virions spraying out of their faces like a firehose

Now, if a rat similar in all aspects with the first rat with the exception it has been previously infected with T. gondii is placed in the same box, this infected rat does not avoid the corner with the urine [4, 5]. Some infected rats are even attracted to the odor. In other words, T. gondii removes the innate fear of rats and converts it, in at least some individuals, into attraction it’s known people are getting brain damage from covid, along with immune damage that reactivates latent viruses like herpes, ebv, and toxoplasmosis. so damage to parts of the brain that deal with risk assessment, fear, trust, anticipating the results of a decision, and even the ability for metacognition and general sensory awareness are potentially damaged if not from hypoxia but direct viral and autoimmune autoantibodies eating parts of the brain.

Pingui posted:Does anyone have access to this article? - it looks interesting, though I am not sure what a "forum article" is. Me neither, but they have a bit in their article submissions page that explains it: quote:Forum articles are short pieces that aim to highlight for a very broad audience a significant recent development in the field or to raise awareness about a topic of general interest. Possible topics can include future outlook essays that serve to introduce or encourage research in a new field, reflections and new insights on long-standing questions and debates, and general analyses of common scientific practices or tools used in a field. Forum articles should not include unpublished data, simulations, or meta-analyses. Although subjective, a Forum article should not be used to dwell excessively on the author's own research or to excessively criticize the research of others, except where criticism is constructive. The introduction of hypothesis and models is encouraged, and the articles should be written with a very personal perspective, but it is important to mention other viewpoints where they exist to place the work discussed in a context for the nonspecialist reader. Our audience ranges from student to senior scientist so articles must be accessible to a wide readership. Please avoid jargon, but do not oversimplify: be accurate and precise throughout. seems like a pretty good idea to me
