Pretty much everything I've correcly assessed as sucking rear end is being addressed and improved. I'm pretty sure the Blizzard devs are reading this thread and taking notes. Glad to see my efforts not wasted.

Sounds like some pretty good changes so far. Maybe I’ll actually take a character past level 70 in S2. Hopefully the vampire powers aren’t too clunky to use, i assume they’ll be on a separate hotbar?

Gems no longer drop at all. You get gem shard crafting items that you can use to create whatever gem types you want. Actual gems are also now crafting materials too.

Enchantment costs...reduced! initial enchant higher, but the progressive cost goes up much slower over time.

Enchant costs leveled out. First enchant is now more expensive, but subsequent enchants are now dramatically cheaper and no longer scale infinitely.

ilvl revamp to make upgrades more frequent. ilvl from monsters keeps going up by 2 for every monster level. New ilvl cap is roughly 920 and will drop most of the time from monsters at level 110+. Whisper and Helltide Caches will now provide items that are +20 ilvl higher than drops from your level.

It perfectly mirrors the same thing that happens every expansion in WoW(at least prior to DF which seems good and fun out the gate) when player numbers drop significantly: a company headtaker kicks the door open, slaps the poo poo out of the directors and tells them to give in to as many player requests as fast as they can.  Glad the tradition is company wide.
