It's to protect evidence, protect witnesses and to prevent further crimes from taking place. Fox has been accused of taking part in a conspiracy to commit criminal damage. He's posted and talked about being involved, and even boasted the police to come and arrest him the day before the actual arrest. He's declared himself as a public contact for people to get free angle grinders to cut down ULEZ cameras and said he was going to be cutting them down himself. So for the police to impose restrictions that stops him from continuing with such a criminal conspiracy, such as preventing him from talking or posting about cutting down cameras etc. is not much of a surprise. The right are trying to push the false narrative that this NEVER happens to anyone on the left, which is very easily debunked, but facts don't matter to these people

One thing I can recommend against is smoking a big Cuban cigar before a wedding dinner because (a) you will have no appetite and (b) everything will taste like tobacco. In retrospect, my buddy having a table of old Cuban guys rolling fresh cigars at his wedding reception was a bit too flash and ill-considered
