Anyone have a build rec for a lovely psyker? I like the purgatus/void strike staff and knives but Im kind of picking the rest of the talents more or less by ~vibes~. 10% cool down reduction vs 10% more damage? No idea which one is better! Think I ended up in a bad spot earlier where I had bio lightning, purgatus staff, and the self buff power and I would just keep exploding

With the 6 seconds off ability CD on specialist kills + the fact that your cooldown doesn't start until after it ends + the fact that your keystone only gives you bonus after pressing your ult I don't think it's worth getting the refresh perk, as nice quality of life as it is to just forever see everything dangerous.

Only flex spot really is 10% elite damage but 10% elite damage is realllly good, I considered deadeye but with the 4% stam drain on shot your entire stam bar is gone in an instant.

And that Vld is basically the same I am using.

I'm viable ladies.

I'm personally gonna advocate that you experiment for yourself what feels best, it's my personal MO and all my advice is based on personal experience 90% of the time.

That said, Voidstrike is hella busted right now and it doesn't actually matter what blitz ability you bring, because you're just gonna be voidstrike bowling literally everything. Hordes? Voidstrike. Elites and Specialists? Voidstrike. Crushers? Voidstrike. Shooters? Voidstrike. Monsters? Voidstrike.

Why waste time with your blitz ability, everything is gonna be dead from the balls anyway. The better question is what ability to take:

Venting Shriek: the classic ability, keeps you from blowing yourself up, has a low CD that can be reduced further if you pick the Warp Siphon keystone, a great tool to save allies through walls up to 30m away.

Shield: dome or walls, this is great team support and protection from shooters if you have minimal cover. The trade off is you can't save yourself from perils anymore. Currently bugged with Warp Siphon to have literally no CD, kinda busted.

Scrier's Gaze: Did I hear that you like bowling? Paired with Disrupt Destiny keystone, this ability turns Voidstrike into the monster it is. One shot anything that isn't a monstrosity with a weakspot hit, especially if you're running the Surge blessing and get a crit for two balls. Also extremely good at popping your own head from perils, be warned that this takes some getting used to. Really fun though, and really makes Voidstrike shine.

Edit: doing further testing in the meatgrinder "exploit weakness" (2.5% rending on crit 16 stacks) and onslaught (2.5% rending on hit 16 stacks) do not stack, AT ALL, so that frees up 2 more points at the top of the tree.

Based on the patch notes it looks like Rending traditionally caps at 40% on two different sources (your rending and the target's rending) so the two right side sources both affect the target so taking both ramps it up to 40% faster instead of going to 80% and Rending Strikes off the middle tree would get you to 55% which is pretty solid and lets you get through most of Flak and Carapace.

Problem is grabbing all 3 nodes is a lot of opportunity cost:

What is the utility of using a chainaxe instead of an eviscerator? I am a left branch to middle bottom "chainsaw freak" Zealot and I like the sound of chain axes but I don't know that another weapon compares to the Eviscerator for pure chainsawing. I pair it with a revolver for things outside of chainsaw range and it is easily in the top three good-feeling game revolvers I have ever used.

Are there other weapon types I should explore? There is a sledge hammer but it doesn't have a chainsaw motor in it so I am skeptical.

e: Just remembered about the boltgun.

Giving this a try as Ogyn and boy can you stack a LOT of heavy attack damage now.

Crushers actually die in a reasonable amount of time, gone are the days of taking a full minute to smack a crusher for double digit damage heavies, in the meatgrinder was hitting crushers for 500+ a hit with heavies and sending them to the ground, extra rending if you killed another elite in the last 10 seconds.
Oh and my bruiser Ogyn has 174 toughness with x3 16% curio's so there is some good survivability.

Any recommendations for melee weapons to try? preferred bully club mk? thrust+confident strike or thrust + skullcrusher or thunderous for more damage increases for the team? bull butcher still the king or does it share the spotlight with more weapons? shovel good now?

It's meant for stunlocking large groups of enemies for teammates to clean up. Unfortunately a lot of players don't seem to realize that and just stare at the enemies being zapped, waiting for them to die. The Empowered Psionics keystone (lvl 30 skill) is currently bugged and makes force lightning cost 0 peril.

Look at the mobility stat on most weapons, it will say something like max dodges 4 out of 5 after which point you barely move during a dodge, there is a mod you can get to show you how many dodges you have left and how fast they recharge.
Force swords have infinite dodges and is faster then sprinting if you don't mind walking sideways like a crab.

The new hotness seems to be the Krourk MK IV knife. The new talents synergize with its hugely damaging cleaving heavy swings. It also got a new horizontal light in the patch that's the third hit in its light combo. In practice, you can use this horizontal light to go into a heavy horizontal and then continue alternating them to just thresh crowds. You can also shortcut this with a push attack that can go into either horizontal. Combine that with it's excellent single target light stabs and a powerful overhead strike on its first heavy and you have a winner. I've been ripping it up with the Krourk IV this patch and it's supplanted the Bull Butcher as my weapon of choice.

Not bad. The first two lights hit for about 300 a pop without any buffs on a crusher and come out lightning quick. The overhead heavy is around 400 and also procs bleed stacks. You can chain the stab into the heavy overhead and keep repeating to stagger a crusher while ripping them apart in pretty short order. Heavy-light-light-heavy is a 4 hit combo that kills with the addition of bleed damage and keeps them pretty effectively staggered.

Compared to the Bull Butcher, it has an identical heavy overhead damage wise but has the light stabs with respectable carapace punching power as opposed the horizontal swings and the bull butcher that only tickles carapace. In short, it won't one-tap a crusher but kills them safely in pretty short order.

Played about 10 games, considering I've been away for a good long time.

Crystal shard psyker is neat, but I feel like such tissue paper. I think the bullet proof shield is super cool.

I went pure Melee build Zealot, pretty much replicating what his old abilities were. Jesus christ is he fast. Who needs stealth when you can just push everyone's poo poo in and nobody can catch you?

My Ogryn is a hybrid Ranged and the two taunt abilities. It actually works really well. Gun poo poo down in an explosion of gore, and then switch to shield when poo poo hits the fan. The ability to taunt and throw down the shield special move really makes me feel like part of a team the 1.x builds never did.

Ra Ra Rasputin

Ogyn is a big winner of the patch since they were blatantly the 4th best and you'd be better off just having a extra veteran or zealot almost always, Psyker is another big winner but hard to say how much of that is because of bugs like infinite shields and perma stunlock.

Before the patch Fatshark had buffed the shield and it was legitimately good with the bleed build. Now? It's loving fantastic. Pair it with the now extremely excellent Rumbler (with the Adhesive Charge blessing) and you've got your horde and armor pen bases covered.

I whipped up a Taunt build using Friendly Rock for dealing with specialists for free, Feel No Pain makes you insanely tanky (crushers/maulers no longer one shot you at full toughness which is just nice) which with the talents that mimic the old bleed build you're very tanky, the now buffed bleed makes horde management even easier, and anything not dying to the bleed quickly is giving you DR to fight it with. The Taunt ability has a modifier to reduce the CD just for staggering enemies, so you can use it very aggressively despite the 45 second cd. The reason why Taunt is so good is that it staggers every enemy in the game when you activate it. Including Monsters and Mutants.

The crucial thing to pick up is the passive talent that makes Blocking or Pushing auto-taunt enemies for 8 seconds. If you pair that with the Shield which can block bullets...? If you're first into a room, shooters will actually auto taunt themselves onto you. Non-gunners will literally stop firing to rush into melee with you, and gunners will just sit there shooting you instead of their friends which is really massive for giving them the space to deal with them.

It's seriously feels really fun, and the Rumbler is now so good at actually removing threats now the build feels really cohesive.

Used an eviscerator and a revolver. You go really, really fast. You can just sort of walk out of most dangerous situations, and anytime somebody needs to run somewhere to do a thing (objectives, rescuing people, etc) you get there and have it done before anyone else has their boots on. I might replace the ult with Chorus, I'm so fast I barely need the charge.
